Freshwater House 3

Once an unassuming blond brick relic of the 1970s, this house has been transformed into a coastal home, exuding the relaxed elegance of a Greek seaside villa. Located near the beach, this family oasis now boasts a fresh, inviting aesthetic that harmonizes with its natural surroundings.

The once plain exterior has been given new life with a lime wash render, softening the lines of the original structure and lending a timeless, handcrafted feel. The transformation is further accentuated by the introduction of a tropical garden, providing a lush, vibrant contrast to the clean, whitewashed walls.

The interiors have been recreated starting at the front door with a double height staircase in the wide entry hall. Adjacent to the entry hall is a room with custom-designed, wide upholstered window seats offering a quiet nook for reading with afternoon sun streaming, or to house a large gang to watch TV.

At the end of the entry hall is a spacious, open-plan kitchen and living area designed with bespoke detailing. A recessed nook for family dinners, games or homework is nestled off the kitchen and dining area. Large glass steel sliding doors seamlessly merge indoor and outdoor living, opening onto a rear terrace that overlooks a level lawn and a sparkling swimming pool. The adjacent cabana offers a shaded retreat, perfect for lazy afternoons or entertaining guests.

The bedrooms on the upper level all open off a double height home office/games room. All the bedrooms include bespoke wardrobes, desk and bedhead joinery giving functionality and expression to each of the rooms.
