Week 6 – Footings, underpinning and new floors

Excavation has continued with piers and footings for the slabs being formed and underpinning of the adjacent terrace – not very exciting visually, but needs to be done! The steel beam to the new first floor framing is installed and the existing flooring removed, giving a great mezzanine space for a week or two. Concrete for the footings is poured next week, so we will be on the up from then on!
